Wild Winds Flute Choir

Friday May 5th at 7:30: Wild Wind Flute Choir has been making wonderful music for more than a decade, drawing on the gifts of some 12 flutists from across Durham region. While flutes are the heart of their repertoire they are often accompanied by percussion, violin, and piano. From Celtic rhythms to Spanish sambas, from classical themes to jazz improv, and Broadway favourites to rock’n’roll, Wild Winds’ audiences always hear some of their favourite melodies played in new, stirring, and creative ways.

Lynda Shewchuck, artistic director and conductor for Wild Winds is committed to sharing her passion for the flute – in all its variations – and bringing their music to new audiences around southern Ontario and beyond. “Our programs range from classical to pop,” states Lynda. “Some of our favourites are: the overture from the Magic Flute, Pachelbel’s Canon, The Girl from Ipanema, Over the Rainbow, and Bohemian Rhapsody.”

Join Lynda, her fellow musicians, and your neighbours for an evening of music at St. Paul’s, in the heart of Cliffside on Friday, May 5th, at 7:30.

Tickets are available through

or by calling the church office at 416-261-4222.
